Here are some photos of the statue sculpted by Patrick Loti, a Ugandan artist specializing in religious art. I think Patrick has done an outstanding job, and I cannot wait for the arrival of the statue to our campus.
Immediately after passing the porter at the OLQP gate, the visitor encounters a roundabout (also known here as a kipilefti). This statue of OLQP will welcome visitors to the campus.
The funds were provided by the wonderful matriarch of a family I know in California. Her generosity will also provide a life-sized carved wooden crucifix for our chapel. Too often we get so concerned about goodness and truth that we forget the importance of beauty.
