Thank You, Kathy

My very talented sister Kathy has created a logo for the Our Lady Queen of Peace Educational Centre. This is the version that will be used for stationery; the version in color will be in the colors of the Tanzanian flag: green, yellow, blue, and black. The rays of the sunburst suggest at least three things: the seal of the Society of Jesus, the apparition of Our Lady Queen of Peace (the "dancing sun" phenomenon), and hope. The book, the heart, and the hand being washed/receiving water illustrate the motto of the centre: to learn, to love, to serve. Incidentally, that image in the lower left reflects the everyday sort of service found in Tanzania in which hosts wash guests' hands before a meal.
